R-Value

Spray foam has the highest insulation properties of commonly available insulating materials.

Why Use Spray Foam Insulation

  • Spray Polyurethane Foam can give you over twice the R-value per inch of most other insulation
  • Excellent acoustic and vibration-resistant properties.
  • It is resistant to most chemicals – especially solvents and hydrocarbons.
  • Help save on energy bills
  • Reduce heating and air conditioning size
  • Reduce draughts and noise and increase comfort
  • Impede entry of insects and pests
  • Minimise air infiltration that can generate condensation and result in mould growth
  • Seal small cracks in walls and roofs to insulate large areas
  • Resist settling due to its general stability
  • Eliminates condensation issues within wall cavities

Injection Foams

Injection foam is designed to inject into cavities and also has a wide range of uses, such as

  • Marine flotation buoys and pontoons
  • Refrigeration Insulating Panels
  • Filling voids beneath slabs to prevent cracking or slumping
  • Capping disused pipes to stop erosion
  • Any other application where insulation or structural support is needed in a cavity or void

FAQ

  • Doesn't foam insulation release toxic fumes?

Modern polyurethane spray foams do not contain or release any toxic gases. They are not to be confused with other products used to fill existing wall cavities; our foams are non-toxic and safe for home insulation.

  • How much foam do I need to achieve an R-value of __?

This depends on the density of the foam used, but polyurethane spray on foam has excellent thermal properties. Our most popular closed-cell foam has an R-value of 1.23 per 25mm, which makes it the most efficient insulation available for residential housing uses.

  • Will the foam absorb moisture?

Our closed-cell foam has a 90% closed-cell structure, which is functionally impermeable to both air and moisture. This drastically reduces the chances of water absorption or transmission through the foam.

  • How does open-cell foam differ from closed-cell foam?

The primary difference in function between open and closed-cell foam is the transfer of moisture vapour through the foam. Closed-cell foam does not allow vapour to pass through, whereas open-cell foam does – however, open-cell foam is much better suited to applications where noise dampening is desired.

  • Can you inject foam into wall cavities?

Not really. Injection foam has quite a strong expansion force, which is commonly used to lift concrete slabs. This means that it is likely to blow the lining off the wall.

Under Floor Insulation

When it comes to underfloor insulation, spray foam is an excellent choice, offering several advantages over other conventional insulation solutions. Our applicators are highly trained and qualified to work in confined spaces, allowing us to install insulation in some of the more difficult-to-access areas.

Sound Dampening Insulation

Polyurethane spray foam not only has excellent insulation properties but can also be utilised for acoustic insulation. This is achieved by using a low-density, open-cell structure foam.

Container Insulation Foam

The trend of converting shipping containers into dwelling spaces is gaining popularity. However, a significant issue with using shipping containers as a living space is the condensation that develops against the steel - leading to the growth of mould and rust. To mitigate this problem, the best solution is to apply spray foam insulation, as its closed-cell structure prevents moisture from condensing on the steel.

Marine Foam

Polyurethane foam products find application in several marine uses owing to their high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent buoyancy properties. As a result, it is an ideal choice for manufacturing boats, ice holds, buoys, docks, and flotation devices.

Spray Foam

For all your insulation needs, polyurethane spray foam products are the optimal solution. As a seamless "spray-in-place" insulation, we offer closed-cell options that are best suited for high insulation requirements or where a vapour barrier is necessary. Closed-cell foam is the most efficient insulation available for most uses and can significantly reduce heating or cooling costs.

We also provide open-cell foam products for noise insulation or cavity-filling requirements. Our spray foam is the answer to all your commercial insulation needs. We are certified applicators with CodeMark certification, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Please contact us to discuss your insulation needs and select the appropriate foam for your application.
